I’m proud to be supporting War Child again this year by taking part in Sound & Vision. 61 contemporary artists were invited to make original work in response to a lyric from Paul McCartney and Wings’ ‘Band on the Run’, chosen by Paul himself:
“Well, the rain exploded with a mighty crash as we fell into the sun.”
My pieces, Falling I & II, are two of 80 artworks in Sound & Vision, an online auction presented by War Child UK and curated by AOAP Projects. There are some truly wonderful pieces available and all proceeds support War Child’s life-changing work with children affected by conflict.
Earlier in the year I painted a 7" sleeve for John Lennon's 'Out the Blue', which was auctioned anonymously for War Child's 'Secret 7s' (take a look) so to be asked to also respond to a lyric by Paul McCartney is a dream to be honest.
Bidding in the online auction is now open via the link below until 12 November.
