biographyGill Rocca lives and works in London. Born in Lancashire in 1971, Rocca studied BA Fine Art and History of Art at Leeds University before completing her MA Fine Art in Barcelona, graduating with distinction in 1996. After a period of travelling that included road trips across America and Australia, Rocca moved to London in 1998 setting up at Studio Voltaire, in Clapham, where she continues to work. Travel continues to provide the background to Rocca's work, with trips to the Arctic Circle and more recently Japan, informing new bodies of work. Rocca's work is exhibited widely and features in private collections in Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
